    Facebook rants, angry tweets, inappropriate Snapchat videos. In today's digital age, privacy issues are all around us on a daily basis. Social media, BYOD, data breaches, on my! This session will address privacy issues in the context of employment, including use of social media (as an offensive tool), device and data security, and Facebook rants. This interactive session will provide for discussion on surveillance and assist attendees to make conscious decisions about where the privacy line is.

    Finally, this session will address the basics of employee profiling through questions, background checks, examinations, etc.

    Mark Hudson is an Attorney and Senior Vice President at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C. in Cedar Rapids. Mark's work focuses on labor and employment compliance and counseling (including personnel policies and decisions, workplace investigations, affirmative action program compliance, wage and hour advice, and general employment counseling), labor and employment litigation (including equal opportunity, wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment and defense of employment-related claims), and fair housing litigation and compliance.
